Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhaab (may Allaah have mercy upon him) wrote this treatise as a response to the scholars of Qasiem, who asked him to make clear his ‘aqiedah, as people were claiming that he was changing the religion of the Muslims, introducing a new religion and declaring all Muslims to be non-Muslims alongside false claims against him. So he he wrote this treatise to clarify that his ‘aqiedah was that of the Salaf.
